Terms and Conditions for Medicare Rentals
1. Rental Basis
- The usage of equipment is on a rental basis. The ownership shall remain with Medicare Rentals.
2. Damage/Loss
- Any damage or loss caused to the equipment (other than normal wear and tear) during the rental period shall be borne by the customer and will be charged at the actual cost of repairs or replacement.
3. Payment Default
- Medicare Rentals reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to take the equipment back in case of delayed payments, non-payment, or bouncing of cheques issued.
4. Delivery and Installation
- Medicare Rentals and its staff strive to deliver and install the product within the mutually agreed time slot. The equipment provided will be hygienically cleaned and in working condition.
5. Customer Responsibility
- It is the customer’s responsibility to check and verify the equipment delivered as per their requirements.
6. Damage Resolution
- In case of any damage to the equipment causing non-functioning during its usage, the issue shall be resolved as soon as possible.
7. Usage Guidelines
- The device should be used as per the guidelines provided by the manufacturer. Customers must also follow the demonstration instructions given by our staff.
8. Advance Payment
- An advance payment is required for the equipment before delivery. For rental renewals, the rent must be paid in advance.
9. Security Deposit
- Customers are required to pay a refundable security deposit along with the advance for all rentals.
10. Transportation Charges
- Transportation charges are to be paid by the customer in advance.
11. Return of Product
- At the time of product return, customers must ensure they receive a goods return voucher duly signed by Medicare Rentals staff.
12. Refund of Deposit
- The refund of the deposit amount will occur after surrendering the equipment in a safe condition.
13. Medical Services Disclaimer
- The patient expressly acknowledges and agrees that Medicare Rentals is not a hospital equipped or qualified to provide any emergency medical services. For any medical emergency, the patient must contact the nearest medical emergency department.
14. Liability Disclaimer
- The patient expressly agrees that Medicare Rentals shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of the selection of the selected home care plan or the outcome of the selected home care plan and services provided under this agreement.
